In a story almost reminiscent of a replay of history, Michael had the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of his idol. Whereas Engelbert Humperdinck was invited to perform a duet on national television in the 1960s by none other than Dean Martin, a similar honor fell to Michael. On June 24, 2017, his mentor and personal friend Engelbert Humperdinck invited him on stage during his "Worldwide 50th Anniversary Tour" at Antwerp's Stadsschouwburg. Together they sang "Dommage Dommage", an unforgettable moment in which Michael managed to distinguish himself as the first and only Belgian artist to ever sing a duet with "The King of Romance".
