I am Remco Verwaijen: experienced presenter and chairperson with many stage hours, from corporate events to educational meetings. I listen sharply, shift gears quickly and ask questions that move the conversation forward. Humor where I can, calm where I must, and when necessary I improvise smoothly, thanks in part to my work as a comedy MC. I like to think along with you about the interpretation and ensure momentum, connection and an event that is just right.

I present events, conferences, meetings and (corporate) evenings in a way that feels professional, but never distant. I put speakers at their ease, give the audience clear talking points and also dare to be quiet for a moment if that works stronger. And yes, if possible, a joke will go in between. Not to find myself funny, but to keep things human.

Remco guided me as a presentation coach in my process to a performance on a large stage for HR Directors. And how! A previous negative experience made me in need of coaching. Remco came on my path via via and the bizarre coincidence was that he would be present anyway at the specific event where I was to speak. After a pleasant online introduction the choice was quickly made. During that conversation, he was able to put his finger on the sore spot. We then met live for 1 half day and he did exactly what I needed: increase my self-confidence! Every possible scenario was considered: microphone/no microphone, speaker notes/no speaker notes, my outfit, technical hickups or other unexpected circumstances.... Nothing was left to chance. And that was good. Also confrontational, but mostly good! Because by really holding a magnifying glass on my presentation, space was created to gain self-confidence. Because being able to see yourself again and filling in a checklist together and reflecting on it, were powerful tools to ultimately deliver a performance that was more captivating, more authentic and tighter than I had ever imagined. Remco's versatile background from theater and standup comedy were a hit with me. Moreover, he knew how to give constructive feedback in a very pleasant way, based on his expertise but especially on connection. I will take the knowledge about posture, breathing, use of voice and movement space with me forever. Because even beyond that one performance, what I learned from Remco is applicable to just about any situation in which you are in contact with others and you want to convey a message. He is able to appeal to a wide audience with his knowledge and expertise about presenting yourself. For Makerting, he delivered two presentations on "How to Grow as a Maker on Instagram. In doing so, he immersed himself in the participants prior to the presentation. This allowed him to use actual examples from participants, in my case all Makers, during the session and made the session very relevant. He speaks clearly and articulately and takes time for questions. I definitely recommend him, especially when it comes to personal advice and presentations regarding Instagram.
