It all started at the New Wave writers' camp in Schiermonnikoog, to which $hirak was invited to produce for the new generation of rappers. Names like Lil Kleine, Ronnie Flex, Jonna Fraser and Bokoesam belonged to this group called New Wave . Many hits came out of this writers' camp and the biggest one was produced by $hirak. One of the beats that Jack had produced ended up with Ronnie Flex and Lil Kleine in the room, a few hours later the song Drank en Drugs (Booze and Drugs) was released. The song went viral through the catchy beat and controversial lyrics and was discussed on several TV shows. Drank en Drugs became the most streamed song of 2015

In 2016, $hirak had another most streamed track of the year in collaboration with Brotherly Love called Jungle. With his sound, the young producer set the bar high for the whole of the Netherlands. In 2018 $hirak finally got his recognition and won the MTV Award for Best World Wide Act in Bilbao ( Spain ).
