Her repertoire consists of Hebrew songs, Christmas and Easter songs and patriotic and old cultural songs. Her performances focus on tradition, history, reflection and connection. For her, music is not only art, but also a means of learning and remembrance.

In addition to her musical work, Geke is author of the book Zingend Leren, which uses music as a learning tool. She recently wrote the book Standing Up Against Anti-Semitism, in which she speaks out against discrimination and intolerance.

Geke van der Sloot regularly contributes to charities, commemorations and social initiatives. For her commitment and cultural contribution she received a royal decoration, the Lely Prize, the statuette of the Singers' Union, and her musical work was awarded a gold CD and a platinum CD.
