Compelling folk and unfiltered joy of playing for an afternoon or evening of unadulterated Irish craic.
Energetic Irish folk featuring traditionals, their own work, retranslated songs and boisterous jigs and reels. Atmospheric timeless folk in the tradition of The Pogues, The Dubliners and The Waterboys (Room to Roam period). Fiddlehead loves to improvise and before you know it, the audience is spontaneously dancing and singing along.
Fiddlehead rocks ehhhh folks! The band consists of seasoned musicians:
* Joost van Es: fiddle and vocals. A top musician who played with, among others, Waylon, Bertolf, Douwe Bob, Gerard van Maasakkers and Ilse de Lange.
* Erik Poorterman: bodhrán, guitar and vocals. Top musician who played with Ies Muller, Cor Bakker, Jan Akkerman, Wouter Hamel and Andrew Read, among others.
* Arno Ruis: vocals, accordion, vintage organ. Autodidact and stage animal with extensive experience in theater and improvisational theater.
We can play both amplified and unamplified.

We look back on a wonderful party, with Fiddlehead providing the music during the informal part. They played nice and lively and thus contributed to the cozy atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed it. They also did a great job accompanying us with our wedding song. The Irish songs are actually enjoyable for everyone to listen to, hear in the background or do a dance to.

It has now been two weeks since we celebrated our birthday party on the terrace in the sun, with nice drinks, delicious snacks and great music. We thoroughly enjoyed it and besides the beautiful weather, Fiddlehead made an important contribution to that! Thanks for the good care

'Where do you know the band from,' asked many guests at our birthday party. And even afterward, many mentioned the fun music when they told us later that it was a great party. We only knew Fiddlehead from the short video on the site. Their performance was fantastic and sounded great. That impression was amply confirmed at our party. Fiddlehead is also an ideal band for a party where guests want to listen but also chat with each other. We held a personal pub quiz and with that they even improvised an appropriate song. With virtuoso violin, magical bodhran and cheerful, sometimes plaintive accordion, the band made a great musical and enthusiastic contribution to our party. Through this way again super thanks!

It was great, a very nice wedding party and Fiddlehead was very enthusiastic, excellent interaction with us, intimate small company. They played musically beautiful, lots of improvising, really very pleasant.
