W19, short for Winter Nineteen, is a three-member melodic rap formation consisting of Jaïr, PB and Gina. The group formed in Suriname in 2016, where they began releasing their own music on SoundCloud. Now based in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, they are hitting a new chapter in 2025 with a sharper and more professional approach. With wavey and spacey (trap) beats, catchy hooks by PB, melodic foreign influences by Jaïr and personal, heartfelt verses by Gina, W19 creates its own and innovative sound within the contemporary hip-hop scene.

W19's music is characterized by wavey and spacey trap beats, centered around melody and emotion. PB provides catchy hooks and smooth flows, Jaïr brings international, melodic rap influences and Gina adds personal, honest and narrative verses. This combination results in a fresh and authentic sound that stands out within today's hip-hop scene.
Live, W19 manages to impress as well. On Saturday, December 6, they performed in the Melkweg during Radar x Meervaart, where they convincingly conveyed their energy and musicality to the audience. In their first year, the group already achieved more than 35,000 streams, a clear indication of their growing reach. In addition, W19 was recently picked up by 101Barz in New Releases and added to Spotify's Fresh Flows playlist, further underscoring their position as a promising act.
