We had booked Anouk and a colleague for our wedding ceremony. I had tried to reach Anouk by phone beforehand to ask if everything was clear regarding our ceremony, but received a message saying that my email would suffice. It clearly stated that music was to be played as we exited the ceremony; unfortunately, that didn’t happen. During our own ceremony, I had to give a signal to start playing; not even one song was played. Additionally, it wasn’t raining during the ceremony, but Anouk insisted on playing only under an umbrella—or not at all—with the result that our guests couldn’t even see the violinists. We were also never told that playing outside would be a problem. We had to spend a considerable amount of money on music for the ceremony, yet in the end only 3 out of 4 songs were played—and one of those was played too late. Our venue was also dissatisfied with the collaboration. Not something we’d want to repeat!
