Expectations and reality differed

We had high expectations for this artist, but unfortunately, the performance was quite a letdown for us. A few days before the performance, the artist called us to inform us that we would have to provide our own sound system. She said her own equipment was in Ibiza and couldn’t be brought here. This was an unexpected and last-minute additional obligation for us. On top of that, the artist arrived about half an hour late. Musically, too, we felt the performance didn’t live up to the expectations that the artist’s description and concept had raised for us. We expected distinct “Ibiza vibes,” but the music and atmosphere created during the performance had more of a spiritual and meditative character. Our experience is therefore that when booking this artist, you must make very clear agreements. Ensure that the desired music style, the concept of the performance, the technical requirements, the duration of the performance, and any obligations on the part of the organizer are clearly and specifically laid out in the contract. This way, you’ll avoid disputes later on, and everyone will know exactly what is expected of both parties from the start.
