Yara Beeks is a young Country singer-songwriter from Doetinchem. Accompanying herself on guitar, Yara writes about everyday life that is recognizable to all of us. In addition to her own songs, she performs classics of country legends in her own unique way.

The still young Doetinchem country singer Yara Beeks has already gained a lot of experience and is building a good reputation at home and abroad. She has been heard several times in Spain, Germany and Belgium and at festivals such as Mañana Mañana and Eurosonic. Guiding herself on guitar, Yara writes about everyday life that is recognizable to all of us and draws inspiration from the likes of Vince Gill, Ilse de Lange and Alison Krauss. In addition to her own songs, she performs classics of country legends in her own unique way.

after a series of successful solo performances, Yara decided it was time to form a band. In early 2023, she joined forces with two seasoned musicians: Dennis Spee, a talented drummer from Arnhem, and Martin Stegeman, a master on the double bass from Lochem, joined her. With this new rhythm section, not only did the average age increase significantly, but they also brought with them a wealth of experience and musical talent.

As the band continued to develop, guitarist Siebren Zijlstra later joined the band. His addition further strengthened the band's sound, and the beautiful polyphonic vocals added an extra layer of depth and emotion to the songs.

In 2025, Yara took the next step in her career by participating in the new television program "Talent Unplugged" on SBS6, where she worked intensively on her music under the guidance of coach Douwe Bob. This special collaboration gave her musical development an extra boost.

The year brought even more great opportunities: Yara was allowed to provide the support act for the Campfire Concerts, opening shows for big Dutch names such as Ilse DeLange, Miss Montreal, Edwin Evers and her former coach Douwe Bob.
