R.K.'s resume is as diverse as his voice. Born and raised on the volcanic island of Vestmannaeyjar in Iceland. At the age of 16 he started in cover bands, after which he passed the advanced examination in classical singing under the direction of former diva Annika Tonuri of the Estonian National Opera Theatre. In the United Kingdom, he studied musical theater at the highly prestigious Guildford School of Acting, where he graduated cum laude with a McGrath scholarship in 2015.
His musical credits include traveling the world as lead singer in cruise ship theater ensembles, playing major roles such as "Curtis Jackson" in Sister Act, double understudy "Galileo/Britney" in We Will Rock You, "Jamie" in The Last Five Years (Iceland Original Cast and Cast Album "Fimm ár") and "Moritz Stiefel" in Spring Awakening (Iceland Original Cast), for which he was nominated for "Outstanding Vocal Performance of the Year" at the " Gríman Icelandic Stage Acting Awards", 2020.
Besides more than 20 years of experience as a solo singer, R.K. was also part of the singing group "Luxor" (mix of pop and classical) and worked for many years as an acoustic soloist and guitarist in Reykjavik's acoustic bar scene. As an actor he was featured in crime documentaries and infomercials.
Now he is the current lead singer of the Dutch tribute bands "Queen Forever" and "Bon Jovi Forever" and has been living in the Netherlands with his Dutch fiancée since 2021.
