Danny Prijs is a true musical all-rounder: from keyboardist in top clubs to engineer for big names. Now he steps into the spotlight himself with his debut single "If one would name a drink after you" in a swinging big band version. Danny Prijs is a musical jack-of-all-trades with a unique story. His career started behind the keys: as keyboard player of his own band "Nature" he played for years in the most popular clubs of Scheveningen and surroundings. With his feeling for the interaction with the audience he knew how to touch them effortlessly. Danny grew into a popular musician on the live circuit.

After many years on stage Danny made a surprising but successful switch to technology. As a sound designer he worked with big names like Mike Peterson, Tino Martin, Dries Roelvink, Robert van Hemert, Samantha Steenwijk, Thomas Berge and Wesly Bronkhorst. His technical knowledge and musical ear made him a respected professional in the Dutch music industry.

But blood creeps where it cannot go. In corona time, when the whole music scene came to a standstill, Danny and his son Roy decided to take a bold step. In the middle of the pandemic, they started their own booking agency together. Something everyone said was "impossible." But against all odds, they managed to build a strong and successful artist portfolio. What started as a risk, grew into a valuable business, where together they accompany artists and cater events.

Still, the stage continued to attract. After countless spontaneous performances where Danny grabbed the microphone "mainly for fun." There Danny regularly sang "If one would name a drink after you". A song by Willem Barth, which quickly became an audience favorite. Friends and family kept saying he "had to do something with it." Under pressure from all those enthusiastic responses, Danny finally decided to go into the studio and with success. He made his own big band version of it.

In 2025, Danny launched his long-awaited debut single:

That cover now forms the heart of his first solo release. His experience as a singer, his skill as a technician, and above all his passion for music come together in it. What began as a spontaneous joke blossomed into a new musical path.
