What began as a collaboration of young Dutch DJs and producers grew into a dance phenomenon that sold millions of albums and singles and still symbolizes an entire generation of partygoers.
The success story began in 1999 with the album Who Needs Guitars Anyway?, good for five international top 20 hits. Tracks such as Better Off Alone (UK #2) and Back in My Life (UK #4) dominated the charts in the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Australia, among others. With more than five million singles sold, Alice DJ became one of the most recognizable acts of the dance scene in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
