The semi-acoustic trio Aphranova Sings 8090s Unplugged performs a diverse program of timeless classics from the 80s and 90s, specially arranged for the special setting of voice, guitar and cello. From Alan Parsons Project, Pink Floyd, Seal, Mr. Mr., Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush to Chaka Khan, Alanis Morissette, Roxette, Tashmin Archer, Björk, Tori Amos, Crowded House, Radiohead and Stevie Wonder, complemented by beautiful anecdotes.

It has fascinated singer and saxophonist Aphranova (Angelique van Os), who is also a music journalist and musicologist, for years, and she still regularly revisits it: music from her teens. And she's not the only one. Why is it that the music of our youth has so much impact? So much so that lyrics from the past can still be recalled. The answer is quite simple: music is closely linked to memory and (positive) emotions.

With her new trio, consisting of Annette Scholten on cello/lame sonore (NNO, Noordpool Orkest, Filharmonisch Noord) and Ronald Kamphuis on guitar (Arnold Veeman, Manouche Swing), Aphranova performs a diverse program of timeless classics from the '80s and '90s, which she still listens to today.

This is not background/ elevator music, but an act that demands attention.

Should it not be possible to play with the trio, guitar and vocals are also available as a duo. This can WELL be done as a background setting.
