Danny Nicolay: a real Topper!
In April 2011 Danny auditioned for Who will be the 5th Topper. It was a very exciting race where really hundreds of candidates participated. Danny ended up together with Judith Peters in first place. They were both chosen by the Toppers themselves and were allowed to accompany them at three sold-out concerts in the Amsterdam ArenA.

Danny on his victory: "It's really true, I became the 5th topper! After a blood-curdling battle, I was chosen together with Judith Peters by... The Toppers could not choose between the two of us and decided to let us both go through. Jeez, how quickly everything can happen! So much press, so many interviews, so many photographers.... !"

After the Toppers adventure, Danny was asked to perform with Danny Froger and Wesley Klein during the Night of Orange in 2013. This was so successful that they were asked to also perform at the Toppers 2013 Halftime Show. Here was born the formation GENTS with which they did the Toppers Halftime show again in 2014, their single Dance and Sing became a hit and now their second single Secret Love is out. In 2015, the formation Gents was again the common thread during the Night of Orange in Ahoy and again provided performances during Toppers 2015 on the festival grounds next to the Arena and the Halftime show in the Arena!

In short Danny Nicolay is a musical jack-of-all-trades and one will hear a lot of him in the future!
