Performances of Danny Nicolay
Danny has been giving unforgettable performances throughout the Netherlands for years. He has performed at major festivals and events such as the Jordaan Festival , Hilversum A-live and the GelreDome, Museumplein and the Night of Orange in Ahoy. Danny was also frequently seen and heard on radio and TV including TROS Muziekfeesten, SBS show news, Hart voor Muziek, Life4You, #####, Radio 538, Radio NL and almost all regional and local stations

In 2003 Danny made a throw at the Eurovision Song Contest with his song 'Insane'. It was only in the very last selection round that he dropped out.

Danny didn't settle down and signed up for the 'alternative song festival'. This event was conceived and organized by the NCRV program Man bites dog. Danny Nicolay became 1st!

Danny Nicolay! A real Topper!
In April 2011 Danny auditioned for Who will be the 5th Topper. It was a very exciting waste race in which really hundreds of candidates participated. In the end, Danny finished in first place together with Judith Peters. They were both chosen by the Toppers themselves and were allowed to accompany them at three sold-out concerts in the Amsterdam ArenA.

Danny about his victory: "It's really true, I became the 5th topper! After a blood-curdling battle I went through with Judith Peters... The Toppers couldn't choose between the two of us and then decided to let us both go on. Jeez, everything can go fast all of a sudden! So much press, so many interviews, so many photographers... !"

A new single of course could not fail after

this great victory. That's why Danny came up with the festive song NO!

Gents
After the Toppers adventure, Danny was asked to perform together with Danny Froger and Wesley Klein during the Night of Orange in 2013. This was so successful that they were asked to also perform at the Toppers 2013 Halftime Show. Here was the formation GENTS born with which they also did the Toppers Halftime Show in 2014, their single Dans en Zing became a hit and now their second single Geheime Liefde is out. Also in 2015, the formation Gents was again the thread during the Night of Orange in Ahoy and performed again during Toppers 2015 on the festival site next to the Arena and the Halftime show in the Arena!

In short Danny Nicolay is a musical jack-of-all-trades and one will hear a lot from him in the future!
