Hoi! Ik ben Joël van der Horst. De muziek die als Singer-songwriter vooral maak is Folk/Country maar ik ben inzetbaar voor elke gelegenheid. Ik vind het mooi om mensen te ontroeren met gevoelige nummers maar gekke meezingers op een knalfuif vind ik ook super tof om te doen. Ik maak daarom graag muziek op maat!.

For my own music you can think of Johnny Cash, John Denver and Mumford and sons. I like to cover contemporary rock and pop songs in a nice acoustic way. From sing-alongs by Guus Meeuwis and Ernst and Bobbie to doing it all wrong with Elvis Presley or Alice Cooper. Nothing is too crazy for me! From covers of The Beatles to Guns N Roses or Simon and Gargfunkel to Ed Sheeran. Anything goes and you can definitely make special requests. Everything is possible!

USABLE EVERYWHERE
I can play both acoustic and (lightly) amplified, nothing will bore me. Spaces from large to small, I really like everything. I can play everywhere. From birthday parties here to weddings there. Whether it's in a forest or a park, there's nothing wrong with locations without electricity either!

PROFFESIONAL.
I have an awful lot of experience making and performing live music. I have been a musician for 13 years of which the last 7 years have been paid. This as frontman and guitarist of a rock band from Leiden. We played around 40 shows a year. From the Main stage of Paradiso and Dynamo to 3fm to Pubs and student parties. Because of this I developed real feelers for every type of gig. From large pop stages to small intimate venues. I can adapt very well to the right atmosphere.
