Willem sings with great enthusiasm, songs with playful and hilarious lyrics to well-known melodies. His songs are mostly about current themes in daily life, and are always listened to and sung along with great approval.

Willem did not start his singing career until 2023 at the age of 71. In 2019, he moved from Amersfoort to Zwartemeer in the province of Drenthe. It all started at his own 50th wedding anniversary. He then wrote and sang a song titled "Ode to Drenthe" this was such a success that Willem got a taste for it and has since built quite a repertoire. Most of his songs are about current themes such as the climate, Electric driving, Money, The Nijmegen Marches, Holidays in the Netherlands, The War situation in the world and some soccer related songs such as. "Ode to FC Emmen and the ode to SV Spakenburg". The single "Ha vakantie" ended at the 319th place in the TOP 1000 of TV ORANJE" In addition, Willem, together with his younger brother Hans as a duo Bont Brothers, recently released a very nice song about how things work in the Police, especially in the 2nd room with the title; "Het Haagse Kippenhok" This song was in the first 3 weeks 32 times on TV Oranje. Also on TikTok this song has many views.
Willem now has 15 of his own songs in his repertoire but also likes to sing other famous Dutch songs.
