The Zwolle-based band, Om De Hoek plays timeless retranslated songs in Dutch, from international pop music. From the Who, the Mamas & the Papas, Tim Knol and E.L.O. to Pink Floyd, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and Paul Simon.

Sometimes subdued, sometimes exuberant and always entertaining. What makes the performances of Om De Hoek special? All the lyrics are in Dutch. A more or less well-known pop song comes more strongly to you when you hear it in your own language. The retellings are sometimes close to the original lyrics and sometimes not at all.
This makes the music of Om De Hoek surprising. You experience the songs in a different way than you were used to. A performance of Om De Hoek can be a feast of recognition, but sometimes also a search in your memory: "Where do I know that song from?"

This is us, the band Om De Hoek:
- Klaas, our singer with his beautiful clear voice and rhythmic guitar playing on both acoustic and electric guitar. Psychologist by profession.
- Gert Jan, together with Klaas and Natasja, sings the stars from heaven, combining this with accordion and harmonica. In daily life he is a student counselor and educator in VAVO education.
- Natasja, our singer, both in the background, and three-part and lead. Therapist is her daily work.
- Hans works in elementary education. He easily plays guitar, acoustic and electric, as well as mandolin and occasionally banjo.
- Jan, tranquility itself an unflappable bass player on the double bass and electric bass.
- Edwin, pathway counselor for youth and families, plays in the band on everything percussion, the upbeat note that provides the rhythm.

Some additional information about us as a band:
We are a band, consisting of 6 enthusiastic musicians, who enjoy playing for a listening audience in the living room. We like to take you into the story of each song, where you sit back and listen in the moment. You sit back and listen in the moment, enjoying our music.
We have been playing as a band for over 15 years, and have grown from a 3-piece band to now a band with 6 musicians. Mostly two- and three-voiced we accompany every song. In a living room, a small festival or just on the street, we feel very comfortable as a band. We prefer to play unamplified, acoustic, but have a good compact sound system.
