Zorzal presents you traditional Mexican music that has its own living soul. Son Huasteco is Mexican folklore, colorful and living music.
Zorzal is a son huasteco trio (Mexican folklore music from the northeast region of Mexico called Huasteca). The so-called son huasteco or huapango, is warm and joyful music, played and sang by the three huapangueros: César Puente on jarana (5 strings guitar), Fátima Hernández on the Violin and Pablo Suaste on Guitarra Huapanguera (8 strings guitar). The trio combines poetry, improvisation, and dance into colorful songs. Zorzal has the ambition to build a bridge between the Mexican folklore music Son Huasteco and the music scene in Amsterdam.
