Zorzal brings the most upbeat music from Mexico to the Netherlands. With two guitars, a violin, and three singers, we create a super fun atmosphere in any venue!
Zorzal brings you traditional Mexican music with a vibrant spirit all its own. Son Huasteco is Mexican folk music—colorful and lively. We also play our own songs and mariachi hits!
Son Huasteco, also known as huapango, is warm and cheerful music, played and sung by the three huapangueros: César Puente on the jarana (5-string guitar), Fátima Hernández on violin, and Pablo Suaste on guitarra huapanguera (8-string guitar). The trio combines poetry, improvisation, and dance to create colorful songs. Zorzal aims to bridge the gap between the Mexican folk music Son Huasteco and the music scene in Amsterdam.
