Two-meter-tall giant bubbles floating slowly across the square. Children run after them, parents pull out their phones, and within a few minutes, a semicircle has formed where no one was walking just a moment ago. No stage, no music—just a bubble artist in a red suit walking across the grounds, knowing exactly where to stand.

Herman is standing in the square with professional bubble solution and special ropes. He creates giant bubbles one to two meters in diameter, bubble sculptures, and clouds of tiny bubbles. In between, he sets up bubble-making kits so children can blow bubbles themselves.

What the bubbles do on a venue
The bubbles are visible from fifty meters away. Put Herman at the entrance, and the front area fills up. Put him in the back, and the booths there get visitors. Mid-afternoon, when energy levels start to dip, the next round begins and the grounds come alive again. That’s a role no other act can fulfill: the bubbles draw the crowd where it’s getting busy.
At the Akoestival in Woerden, Herman was stationed at Westdampark. Within a few minutes, a half-circle had formed in a spot where no one had been walking before. Bolsward booked the act for King’s Day and immediately rebooked it for the following year.

Not just for kids
Adults react just as strongly—they stop, film, and watch. It works just as well at a company get-together or a reception as it does at a village festival.

How it works
Three 45-minute rounds, spread out over three hours. Continuous—no set time slot, no stage, no sound system. Herman walks around the grounds, reads the crowd, and chooses the right moment and the right spot. Children can join in using seven bubble-making kits set up on the grounds.

Combine for greater impact
The bubble show draws a crowd. Add a cotton candy stand and you’ve got a zone: the bubbles attract, the stand keeps them there. Add a creative kids’ corner, and children who’ve finished running around can join the craft table.
