My name is Yvonne, raised in Twente and now living in Nijmegen. Music has always been an important part of my life. Music was constantly playing in the house: if there was no CD with classical music playing, my father would improvise jazz on the grand piano, or my mother would sing children's songs to us. Just as Agnetha (ABBA) sings in Thank You for the Music, "Mother says I was a dancer before I could walk, she says I began to sing long before I could talk," the same applied to me. My parents told me I was singing myself to sleep.

Music has the power to connect, amaze, move, remind and comfort people. It fills me with energy and gives me satisfaction to raise my voice to touch audiences in special moments.

Do memories already come up with songs like Het dorp (Wim Sonneveld), Liefde van later, (Herman van Veen), Ik zou weleens willen weten (Jules de Korte) and Telkens weer (Willeke Alberti)? Nostalgia all around! I would love to come and visit with piano accompaniment to sing a set of 30-60 minutes of beautiful listening songs. Mainly Dutch chansons, with a few familiar outliers to English or French. I provide the instruments, amplification and, if necessary, a microphone. The cost is €250, excluding VAT and travel expenses.
