An intimate living room concert or a performance for a larger audience of music lovers, Velvet offers a beautiful listening experience with songs and instrumental pieces in a wide variety of styles.

Velvet consists of Ruzana Tsymbalova (violin/backing vocals), Karin Schipper (piano/vocals) and Henk Elderson (guitar/piano/vocals). Our music is a combination of the musical backgrounds of the three members: Slavic, pop, classical and jazz.

Ruzana learned to play the violin from her father, who was a celebrated violinist in Russia. With her virtuoso violin playing, she knows how to amaze everyone. Karin specializes in choral singing: Choir Jade has already won the Balk TOP festival under her direction. In Velvet she can sing the songs she likes herself. Henk is an all-round musician who handles the bass as easily as the guitar or piano. With Velvet he can showcase his own playful and original compositions.

We give concerts for listening audiences who can enjoy singing together, virtuoso violin playing and beautiful compositions.
