JH!MP is the new live sensation of the Netherlands in the styles fusion, smooth jazz and jazz rock, in other words a contemporary jazz band. See the enthusiastic reactions on Facebook, like from Inge Wenzel, musicbooker of a.o. Dave Koz, Jeff Lorber and Eric Marienthal, who also booked JH!MP already. This year JH!MP will be seen on various (main) stages of festivals, clubs and private parties.

In addition to acts for Jazz festivals and jazz clubs, jazz band JH!MP also provides stylish Smooth jazz for receptions, dinners, get-togethers and corporate events. Soon JH!MP will play a stylish Smooth Jazz dinner for the students of Nijenrode. JH!MP has previously played at jazz festivals in Delft, Breda and Helmond.

Thus, each song of this jazz band is unique. However, you will hear very clearly the influences of said American jazz and fusion icons, as well as those of Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock and Jaco Pastorius. Seasoned musicians from the jazz and jazz rock scene, styles that the members of JH!MP also master.

If you are looking for a live revival jazz band of the fusion, smooth jazz and jazz rock of the 80s and 90s by American heroes such as Marcus Miller, David Sanborn, George Duke and Bob James, you have come to the right place with JH!MP. Surprisingly, JH!MP does this with self-written pieces.

What can you expect from this jazz band when you hire JH!MP? JH!MP plays its own pieces. These contain catchy smooth jazz-like melodies, which form the basis of each song. In further freedom, the melody is expanded into an adventure, in which the members show their freestyle side. Styles such as funk, jazz and, of course, fusion, jazz rock and smooth jazz are covered.

The members of the band are experienced musicians in the pop and jazz scene. This is what they enjoy doing most: Creation on stage, with catchy melodies, grooves and improvisations that are built upon.

Jhimp can handle a big stage as well as a small pub. Because of the freedom, they easily adapt for what is requested at the moment. Also as background music or during a smooth jazz dinner, JH!MP's music can be a true addition. But also they do not shun the heavy funk. Everything is possible. Stillness, dancing, intense solos, intimate moments. Jhimp also plays longer than 2 hours.
