Nielson is the stage name of Niels Littooij. Nielson went to the Herman Brood Academy in Utrecht, where he specialized in rap. In 2008 he won the preliminary rounds of the Kunstbende in Rotterdam. In 2013 he released the successful singles Hoe with Miss Montreal and Mannenharten with BLØF. Nielson's debut album was released in 2014. His second album was released in 2016 and his third in 2018. In 2019, Nielson was a losing finalist on Wie is de Mol? He also won two Edisons in 2019. In 2022, Nielson was featured in the series Best Singers. In December 2023, Nielson performed with The Streamers.
