Maarten de Gans (Marty McGoose) is the lead singer of Acting The Maggot, the most fun and well-known Irish party/folk band in the Netherlands. Accompanied by either an accordionist, banjo player, bassist, or violinist, he also performs at weddings, events, and parties such as birthdays and anniversaries. They play the best-known songs by The Dubliners, Flogging Molly, and The Pogues, as well as U2, Bruce Springsteen, and popular sing-alongs like “Sweet Caroline,” “(I Will Walk) 500 Miles,” and “Pianoman”—you name it.
