De Thuisfluiters, een bijzondere samenwerking tussen de bekende Nederlandse tv-persoonlijkheid en sportfanaat Wilfred Genee en voetbalscheidsrechter Bas Nijhuis, slingeren met veel plezier hun lachwekkende carnavalshit 'Er staat een kaars in de gang' de wereld in.
De bijzondere hit, gebaseerd op de legendarische hit van André van Duin, 'Er staat een paard in de gang', belooft een knallende aanvulling op het carnavalsfeest.
Wilfred en Bas rockten de Ziggo Dome tijdens Vandaag Inside Live op 10 december 2023. Met niemand minder dan André van Duin als speciale gast gaven ze fans een sneak peek van hun single, inclusief de carnavalsmaskers van de VI-panelleden. Het is overduidelijk dat deze jongens simpelweg te veel plezier hebben en dat delen dit graag met het publiek.

The preparation with Wilfred went very smoothly. Contact by email and app and together we came up with a nice program for our relation event (opening new office, 125 attendees) where Wilfred was host/presenter. Wilfred was our chief guest, together with Roxane Knetemann, Gert Jakobs and Erik Hulzebosch at one of the events of the networking club "Business peloton " networking & cycling in the Town Hall of Emmen. Wilfred had the atmosphere from minute one. Was in tight and engaging discussions with the guests at the table and provoked nice anecdotes from Roxane, Erik and Gert. Conversations took special turns with many laughs in the room. Topical issues, jokes and the experiences of the guests were brilliantly captured by Wilfred and enjoyed by the audience. It was a more than successful evening and the reactions of the network members were only positive. Wilfred, thank you for this unforgettable networking evening.

Recently we had a fantastic gala in Huis ter Duin where Wilfred Genee was our chairman of the day. Under his inspiring and very professional leadership this evening became a big party. He had fantastically prepared himself in the history of our club and very expertly conducted a number of interviews with some of our (honorary) members. It seemed as if he himself had been a member of our club for 25 years. From the beginning to the end there was a great atmosphere in the hall. At the end Wilfred himself also sang a song by Hazes, which showed that he himself was enjoying himself enormously.
