Free Academy Bigband is an energetic Delft big band that turns every performance into a party with great enthusiasm. The band plays pieces ranging from sultry jazz to swinging funk and well-known vocal numbers.
Free Academy Bigband, founded in 2012, consists of eighteen musicians ages 20 and up.
The band is led by the young and talented alto saxophonist Fenna Volmer.
The band tailors the repertoire at each performance to the occasion and location we are playing, and of course to the audience and the wishes of the customer. With our Christmas repertoire, we can also provide an atmospheric Christmas show.
Furthermore, we can completely relieve you of any worries, by bringing our own professional sound system. You are then assured of a sparkling performance with good sound quality, even if you or the location does not have its own sound system or technician.
