In this workshop participants make a painting in the style of Action Painting under the guidance of a teacher. It is not so much about what will be on the canvas, but how it will be on the canvas.
During this workshop, you will be throwing paint, dripping, brushing and brushes, on large painting canvases. And you will work with spray cans, tape and stencils. But have no fear, you are protected from head to toe with overalls, gloves and galoshes, so it's safe. And we'll also make sure to keep the room clean :) And the results will surprise you!
Action Painting is a form of abstract art where the painter actively works with a large canvas. The artist tries to convey the action, the act of creating, on the canvas. The artwork is a reminder of the action, the action (for example, the rhythmic dripping of paint on a large canvas). Action painting is therefore spontaneous painting,
in which the painter's movements are clearly recognizable. It is not what is depicted that is important, but the act of making.
During the Action Painting workshop, the teacher will explain the intention and show some examples. Then participants will try out different techniques. Finally, individually or in groups, they will create a work of art in the style of Action Painting.
An Action Painting workshop is a unique experience where participants can express their creativity through expressive and impulsive movements with paint. Participants are given a fully disposable coverall to wear, including gloves and galoshes, so there is no problem handling the paint wildly. Suitable for both beginners and advanced students, the Action Painting workshop offers participants the chance to explore the art of painting.

Jackson Pollock, the main painter of this technique, uses the dripping technique, where paint is splashed, dripped, sprayed and thrown onto a huge canvas, resulting in an extremely complex network of colorful lines. In these "over all paintings," the work loses the traditional frames of reference of height, width and depth and any reference to perspective.
We conclude with a group photo.
