From jazz to pop and even opera, Amsterdam-based Canadian singer Rachel GL can do it all!
Rachel Rhea is a versatile Canadian singer, songwriter, and pianist who lives in Amsterdam. Thanks to her wide-ranging repertoire, she’s perfect for all kinds of occasions. Whether you’re looking for atmospheric background music during a reception, a stylish jazz singer for a dinner party, or an energetic pop singer for a party, Rachel is the perfect choice. Rachel is available for performances as a solo artist and can accompany herself on the piano or sing along to professional backing tracks. A duo, trio, or full band is also available upon request (for an additional fee).
As the winner of the audience award at the Concours International Chant Lyrique Canari, Rachel’s performances are characterized by her confidence on stage, her versatility,
the warmth of her voice, and her ability to connect with the audience. Her repertoire is very diverse: jazz standards, French chansons, hits from the 1970s to the present, as well as classical music (opera) for special occasions. She is also happy to accept song requests upon consultation.
She began taking voice and piano lessons at the age of six and has been performing ever since. In 2020, she earned a Bachelor of Music from the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal, and in 2022, she earned her Master of Music from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Thanks to her international education and years of stage experience, she knows how to tailor each performance to the atmosphere of the event.

Rachel is a true talent and a very professional performer. She sang at my birthday party, and it honestly exceeded all my expectations. She performed a beautiful mix of opera, jazz, and French chansons, including “Habanera” and “Hymne à l’amour.” I was so impressed by how effortlessly she switches between different styles. Her voice is absolutely stunning, and every song sounded beautiful. Rachel graduated from the conservatory as an opera singer, but she also sings jazz, pop, and French chansons at a very high level. She had prepared everything perfectly; communication beforehand was easy, and she was always friendly and flexible. One of my favorite moments was that we rehearsed a duet before the party, and I got to sing it with her during the evening. That made the experience even more special for me. She made her entrance during dinner, and everyone was completely amazed. My friends and family absolutely loved her performance, and so many people came up to me afterward to tell me how much they loved her singing. Rachel played a big part in making my birthday such a memorable evening. I would recommend her without hesitation for private parties, corporate events, weddings, or any special occasion. Rachel can sing incredibly beautifully. She hits every note perfectly and gives a clean performance. She was extremely helpful with all the extra requests we had. She is punctual and professional. The pianist Jordi also played beautifully, and Rachel and he are well-coordinated. They can also read the room well!
