The Tavern Boys

The Taverneboys breathe pure nostalgia and traditional Brabant conviviality. Originating from the iconic Café De Taverne in Tilburg. Where manager Jurgen Schlangen together with Pieter van Velzen form the singing duo, De Taverneboys bring every party to a higher level. What started at the bar, quickly grew into a carnival act recognizable throughout Brabant by their infectious atmosphere and warm, old-fashioned hoempapa sound.

With their motto "With carnival it's carnival and then we sing carnival music" they are dedicated to keeping the authentic carnival feeling alive. Their music is full of playful lyrics, cheerful melodies and a large dose of recognizable Brabant charm - suitable for young and old.

Every year, De Taverneboys release new songs of their own around Elluf Elluf, check out Spotify and YouTube. They are proud of their roots and like to show that real party music is more than a simple stomp song. Their songs are cheerful, atmospheric and always focused on one goal: "the polonaise," because it should never disappear from the scene.
