Even with his very last work Blackstar, he managed to catch everyone off guard.
Ries de Wit, who knows how to get into the skin of Bowie like no other, and the amazing musicians of Ground Control all have different musical roots, with different musical baggage, but know how to combine them into one musical passion; David Bowie. Ground Control has risen to the challenge, playing the best, most beautiful and important songs from his vast repertoire.

Ground Control has a mission: to perform Bowie songs with fire and passion, sometimes almost identical to the original, sometimes with a twist, but always with respect for the Thin White Duke himself....

From "Ziggy Stardust" to "Station to Station," from "Space Oddity" to "Heroes," from "Five Years" to "Let's Dance" and from "Changes" to "Scary Monsters"... Every period of David Bowie is special, and Ground Control manages to portray this very realistically with an extraordinary, musical and colorful live show.

Ground Control brings a very intense energetic live show, The band also stands out especially because of the unique singer/frontman Ries de Wit.
In his early youth, Ries already completely got into the skin of Bowie, and does not have to do any imitation, he remains completely himself (which is Bowie-wise extravagant anyway!).

He gives his all at every performance, seeking contact with the audience, drawing them into his ecstasy and grabbing them by the bootstraps....
By staying naturally himself, the audience really experiences Bowie (and all his alter-egos)!
They experience that every time they perform, the audience goes completely into it, often with emotional reactions.
Ries can sing all songs live in the original key, as on the original albums, which sounds very authentic, and also gives a lot of power! (Bowie himself, by the way, sang many songs live a few notes lower).

Ground Control consists of six very good experienced musicians.
The band always has an excellent sounding stage sound, partly due to their own professional mixer (a.k.a. Focus) who is behind the FOH controls.

Sophisticated background visuals are also displayed, this further enhances the songs.

Ground Control plays a full-length program of 2 sets:
a complete Bowie show of about 2.5 hours, including many album songs from all periods, with of course all the hits.

Also possible is a 'festival' set of approx. 1 hour, containing mainly the hits.
