Eight-man formation around the fantastic singer Lucy Kruijsse. Play swing, jump & jive and jump blues. Very danceable music with horn section.
Lucy & The Heartbreakers:
Pure R&B entertainment
If you love the music of "Sharon Jones" and her Daptone Kings, you'll love the sound of Lucy & The Heartbreakers.
Dance to rhythm 'n blues classics like "Cadillac Baby" by Roy Brown and "Good Rocking Daddy" by Etta James, or the Powder Blues Band's hit from the 1980s with their "Boppin with the Blues." Louis Jordan and Louis Prima obviously cannot be left out of the list of greats.
Lucy & The Heartbreakers is wonderful, rousing rhythm 'n blues entertainment.
Vibrant rhythm 'n blues, jump blues and jive in the tradition of the great shouters of the 40s and 50s are presented with great fire and elegant lightheartedness, making this band a real experience.
The recipe for
their music is: breathe new life into the old rhythm 'n blues and jump 'n jive and pass it on to a new generation.
A musical highlight for young and old! Namesake of the band, Lucie Kruijsse, has been known on Dutch, Belgian and German stages for decades and winds the audience around her finger.
Songs originally played without horns or only with a blues harp now contain stunning horn arrangements that Lucy & The Heartbreakers use to give the songs a completely unique twist. Lucy & The Heartbreakers is one of the few groups still playing this style of music with a large lineup, keeping alive the times of the great rhythm 'n blues sound.
Anyone who can stand still while this band plays is deaf or motor impaired.
Lucy & The Heartbreakers are unstoppable on any stage.
