Sandra was born November 13, 1971 in The Hague and completed the School of Journalism in Utrecht. Her career started as a reporter at RTL 5 and then worked on documentaries in the United States. After her return, she worked as a reporter for RTL Nieuws. In addition to her TV activities, she has taken over Erik Mouthaan's role as a reporter on the royal family since 2006, and she has continued this to royalty expert for RTL Boulevard. Sandra can also be heard on the well-known radio station Radio 538 as a regular news reader during the Coen and Sander show since March 10, 2023,
