Jaap Jongbloed started at TrosAktua in 1980 and then garnered national fame as host of programs such as Jongbloed & Joosten, Vermist, Opgelicht?! and EenVandaag.
In addition to his work as a presenter, Jaap is also a publisher. Together with Simon Vuyk, Jaap founded the non-fiction publishing house Rebel. Because of his work for the program Vermist, Jaap founded the MISSING Foundation, which financially supports the search for missing persons. In 2001, Jaap was nominated for the title Broadcaster of the Year. In 2015, he was featured in the sixteenth season of Expedition Robinson. In addition, he participated in season 2023 of Het Perfecte Plaatje.

My colleagues and I look back on a very pleasant collaboration with Jaap. From the first contact it felt relaxed, pleasant and equal. Jaap thought along with us, had an eye for technology and even brought his own transmitter so we could make good videos. He was flexible in time and we experienced him as very involved.
