Jan Versteegh started working at the age of 17 as a presenter of the programme 'Campus'. This program was broadcasted at the popular regional Stadsradiozender Rotterdam. Jan discovered the passion for producing and presenting here. In addition to his secondary school and during his student days he tried to gain as much experience as possible in the field of radio and television. For this he had a short wander at the Academy for Physical Education.

He exchanges the radio world for the moving image. He starts by presenting the youth programme 'Zooi' on TV Rijnmond/TV West. Jan was actively involved in the editorial team where he had to deal with everything related to making a programme. This was followed by various jobs for Red Bull / The Sharks at major live events such as Red Bull Knock Out Race and Dance Valley. Because of this he learned to make live television under extreme circumstances. In addition, he developed his own interview method, namely very ad rem and somewhat abrasive.

In addition to acting as a reporter, Jan was ultimately responsible for sending the camera team and the editor to immediately deliver ready-made images. Jan sees working under pressure as a great challenge and during these circumstances he performs at his best. Jan is a thrill-seeker, just like in his hobbies deep sea diving and making unplanned trips, he is always looking for adventure.

Jan could be seen as one of the faces of PowNews. Nowadays he is presenter of BNN. There he started presenting 'Spuiten en Slikken', 'Spuiten en Slikken op Reis', '3 op Reis' and '3 op Reis Backpack'. In 2013, Jan will participate in the programme 'Expedition Robinson' and in 2014 he will reach the finals of 'The Smartest Man'.

His talent does not go unnoticed: in 2015 Jan de Televizier wins the 'Aanstormend Talent' award. He also surprised himself during the first season of 'It Takes 2' where he turned out to be a singer! To top it all off, he wins the programme together with coach Trijntje Oosterhuis.
