About Jort
Jort Paul Wouter Kelder came into the world as the youngest son of a helmsman on the deep sea, just before the Hong Kong Flu raged across the planet and his later hero Daniel Cohn-Bendit defied the bourgeois. Jort learned to jump ditches and start fires, wrote pieces for the school newspaper and studied law, then joined the still fledgling business magazine Quote. The rest is history.

Quote would eventually last seventeen years with Kelder. Then Jort signed on in Hilversum, where he presented for KRO, including Parla! (a talk show with only women, also called 'Kelders Kippenhok'), the entrepreneurial programs 'Dragon's Den' and 'Bij ons in de BV', as well as the ratings hit 'Bij ons in de PC'. Later he joined Avrotros. There he devised and presented, among other things, 'How is it supposed to be?' (2011-2016) and the NPO2 series 'From Old Money, the things that don't pass'.

In between, Jort made a series about capitalism: 'Het Snelle Geld'. He also plunged into discussion programs on the banking crisis, real estate fraud and 'healthcare', presented a tech program with Alexander Klöpping (Kelder & Klöpping, NPO1 April-June 2019) and occasionally posted himself at the head of the Sunday Buitenhof table. From September 2020, Jort can be seen as presenter of Op1. In addition to television, Jort also profiles himself through wireless broadcasting with his Saturday NPORadio1 program Dr. Kelder & Co, "radiotherapy against hypes and hysteria.
