Miriam Simone is an international female reggae artist.
Empress Miriam Simone is a reggae female artist and CEO of record label Dreddarecords. Miriam Simone has bin borned in Amsterdam in the Netherlands from South American parents from Surinam. She sings from she's 13 years old, after joining the church choir and being in several group formations she decided to go solo as a reggae female singer in 2009.
Miriam Simone is no stranger in the reggae music industry and over the years she released 1 EP in 2012 called "Follow my dreams" this EP she releases in association with Digital B and Hapolis. On her EP she featured songs with Jah Melody "I love you" and with Fyah King "You know how to love me" on this selection
and worked with Jamaican producers as Bobby Digital, Calibud Sheldon Stewart and Dutch producer Jah Decko who produced her hit song "Almighty".
In 2015 the empress releases her first album "MOUNT ZION" on this album she works with Jah Decko, and features a song with reggae artist Lutan Fyah on the song "His Kingdom Arise". This production has bin inspired by Marcus Garvey. The slbum "MOUNT ZION" she released under her own label Dreddarecords.
In 2019 she released her second album "Amsterdam Revival " this in association wit Zodjac Worldwide. Her latest album "Amsterdam revival" has productions from different producers such as Bobby Digital, Mr. Patze, Caveman, Echo Minnot, Freddy Poncin, Shaka Demus, Calibud Sheldon Stewart & DJ CAT. She features the songs "We don't wanna cry" with Capelton and "Never give up" with Sizzla Kolonjie.
Empress Miriam Simone got featurings on riddim selections and worked with different producers from Italy, Uk, US, Kenya, France,Mexico, Surinam, Jamaica and the Netherlands.
in May 2021 Empress Miriam Simone releases a new single Higher Heights produced by Jah Works in association with Zensocial Production and Earth Works. Currently the singer is working on an EP with Soundsystem LTD from the UK which will be set to release January 2023
