Spaan's very first single was released in 2022. A musical project by Studio Ellef in Linne, with a starring role for MC Klee (Erwin Klee) and DJ Karla, produced by experienced music producers Olaf Simons and Ton Balendonck and released by the record company where it all began.
Telstar Music Benelux was the purveyor of Nederpop in the 1980s. In the early 1920s there was a revival of this style of music and the time was ripe for new material. As big fans of Telstar's Nederpop in the 80s, Spaan makes music inspired by that music period, a recognizable sound in a modern jacket.
