The Spiders take you on a journey through the musical highlights of David Bowie; from Ziggy Stardust to the poignant Lazarus. The Spiders don't try to imitate Bowie, but they make sure to capture the essence of each song.

When singer Arjan Stender learned of David Bowie's sudden passing in January 2016, he was -just like everyone else- stunned. He decided on the spot that the best way to honor Bowie was to keep his music alive. There had to be a tribute band. All the musicians he approached immediately jumped at the chance; The (Dutch) Spiders From Mars was born.
The performances in recent years have made it clear that The Spiders are not just another Bowie tribute band. The Spiders don't try to imitate Bowie, but they make sure to capture the essence of each song. They also see no problem in adding a little extra solo, break or instrumental piece here and there, just like Bowie often played his songs differently live than on the record. Arjan doesn't look like David at all but he has the perfect voice for this repertoire, and he sings the songs with an intensity as if he had written them himself.
