A very varied program of mostly nostalgic songs called Sentimental Journey of well-known covers (from so longer ago) in Dutch, English and French, sung by Madeleine Vogels (with her own orchestral tapes and her own installation as accompaniment) for elderly people / care homes, which will make people happy again.
Nostalgic cozy, sweet, beautiful, crazy, jazzy, life, folk, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, moving etc, listen and sing along and (if desired) also some dance songs for elderly / care homes sung by Madeleine Vogels with the title Sentimental Journey.
Madeleine started this in 2020 after she had previously sung with a musical group (in which she had a role) in a care facility and then was inspired to do this herself after the enthusiasm of the residents.
It started with about 30 songs, but now there are about 180 songs in her repertoire and after Non Rien De Rien by Edith Piaff (which was in her repertoire and was very well received) she focuses on more French chansons and she can also be
booked with a predominantly French program with an accordionist.
Sunday, April 23 Madeleine stood accompanied by Rodolfo in the final of the Concours de la chanson Francaise in the Torpedo Theater with 2 songs of Edith Piaf namely Padam Padam and Mon Dieu which can be viewed on her blog through her Facebook page Madeleine Vogels.

She was later described in the review of the Telegraaf as a singer with the voice of Edith Piaf
But she can also be booked with a pianist with a more jazzy progamme.

During the City Row Race on October 09, 2022 Madeleine performed, in a word great! Between the rowing race, held on the Nieuwe Meer, and the award ceremony was the performance. The mood was immediately good at Wv De Schinkel and some rowers even started dancing. Madeleine sang beautiful French songs but also real Amsterdam songs ? Madeleine not only sings well, but she has a very diverse repertoire. She enthusiastically responds to her audience, whether it is for residents in a nursing home, a café or one in an association canteen. Even if the technique fails, (as she recently had at a performance with us in the Jan Bonga house in Amsterdam West) she does not let herself go out of the field and she improvises with the means at her disposal, so that the audience did not have to be disappointed and the performance could go on as if nothing was wrong and everyone was happy with it!

Madeleine was with us a few times last year for a performance at a community building garden party of the Green opportunity and care facility Geuzenveld of Cordaan in Amsterdam west. She is a nice warm cozy woman and managed to captivate everyone with her songs and has a wide repertoire for everyone's taste. Was definitely a success, now we have to wait for the nice weather and hope she wants to come again to sing.
