A mostly nostalgic very varied multilingual and various genres of songs progamma with vocals by Madeleine accompanied on the piano by Frits Landesbergen ( known as the vibraphonist of the Netherlands and drummer with the Dutch Swing College Band) for the elderly/care facilities.
A nostalgic very varied song program with English, Dutch, ( also a little crazy cabaret-like) , French, sweet, beautiful, touching, life, folk, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, listen and sing along songs sung by Madeleine Vogels , accompanied by Frits Landesbergen (most famous vibraphonist in the Netherlands; percussionist with the Dutch Swing College Band and played a lot with Louis van Dijk) on the piano , with originally the intention for elderly / care homes.
Madeleine started this with Frits in 2020 and with a slight delay due to the Corona, they are now enjoyed and frequently hosted by various venues for the elderly.
Generally, a performance lasts from 1 to 11/2 hours, but can be adjusted in consultation.

On Sunday, Feb. 12, Madeleine sang at water sports club de Schinkel, solo, accompanied by her own music bands. It was a fine performance with nostalgic Dutch, folk Amsterdam, cabaret and ballad-like, French, English, jazzy and roof-off songs. A singer who sings easily, is versatile and creates a pleasant atmosphere. Truly a Sentimental Journey!

She not only sang classic chansons to listen to, but also some chansons to sing along softly.

A very varied program of songs by Madeleine Vogels.
She performs English, Dutch, (also a bit cabaret-like), and French songs with a beautiful clear voice, which is very well understood. Moving songs, songs of life, beautiful songs, and often songs where the audience is invited to sing along.
She is accompanied by Frits Landesbergen on the piano. Now a percussionist with the Dutch Swing College Band, he has played extensively with pianist Louis van Dijk, among others.

Madeleine not only sings well, but she has a very diverse repertoire. She enthusiastically responds to her audience, whether it is for residents in a nursing home, a café or one in an association canteen. Even if the technique fails, (as she recently had at a performance with us in the Jan Bonga house in Amsterdam West) she does not let herself go out of the field and she improvises with the means at her disposal, so that the audience did not have to be disappointed and the performance could go on as if nothing was wrong and everyone was happy with it!

Your program Sentimental Journey, full of recognizable songs for our target group, beautifully and lovingly sung, predominantly in English, but also with a number of delightful Dutch Meezingers, was a party! Madeleine was with us a few times last year for a performance at a community building garden party of the Green opportunity and care facility Geuzenveld of Cordaan in Amsterdam west. She is a nice warm cozy woman and managed to captivate everyone with her songs and has a wide repertoire for everyone's taste. Was definitely a success, now we have to wait for the nice weather and hope she wants to come again to sing.
