Luca Warmer & Nikos Charalambous is a vocal/guitar duo based somewhere between Rotterdam and The Hague. They play music from the Jazz, Soul, R&B and Latin repertoire as well as original compositions. When needed, the duo expands their sound through the use of loops and electronics in order to create a bigger soundscape.

Stemkunstenaar Luca Warmer is geboren in Delft en hoorde als baby de klanken van Frank Zappa en Keith Jarrett. Op haar tiende begon ze altsax te spelen en rond haar twaalfde wilde ze ook gaan zingen. Muziek schrijven en net zo gepassioneerd en vrij zingen als Nina Simone, Rachelle Ferrell en Carmen McRae, dat is iets ultiems. Een buitenkansje was touren met het koor van The Kyteman Orchestra en projecten van Metropole Orkest. Zo ook zingen op festivals met hiphop formatie Mama Franko en afrobeat, soul en funk band Liquid Sun Orchestra.

Momenteel stort ze zich enthousiast in artistieke projecten en treedt op met verscheidene formaties: Motown met Badass Soul Collective, jazz met het Rob Agerbeek trio en een combinatie van klassiek en jazz in muziekgezelschap Revolve. Haar eigen combinatie van wereldmuziek, jazz en gedichten speelt Luca in theaterconcert Appelstroop Met Tranen samen met gitarist Paulinho Paes en percussionist Paul van Nispen, waarmee ze troost wil bieden in troebele tijden en een zekere kwetsbaarheid wil aanraken.

Luca is afgelopen zomer met lof afgestudeerd aan de Jazz afdeling van het Koninklijke Conservatorium Den Haag en bracht onlangs haar debuutplaat Huub uit, waarop ze de dood bezingt en de luisteraar ontroert met autobiografische teksten. Luca zingt, dicht en creëert vanuit haar hart, waar en wanneer ze maar kan.

Nikos is a guitar player born in Limassol, Cyprus in 1991. He started with guitar around the age of 16 and was mostly self-taught at that time. He initially surrounded himself with rock/metal music, built his own band while composing his own songs and eventually started performing in Rock clubs and festivals around the island.
​Gradually the musical search moved into jazz and the improvisational aspect of music. In 2013 he enrolled himself in ArtEZ University of the Arts Arnhem where he obtained his Bachelor degree in Jazz & Pop Guitar Performance.
Through this time, besides leading his own groups with original compositions, being a side-man for various projects within jazz, pop and free improvised music he has also performed for dance, film and art productions in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.
After completing his Master’s degree on Jazz guitar at Codarts Rotterdam, he continues to compose new material and develop further in his musical journey with various band formations through genres like jazz, blues, rock, funk, pop, latin, free-impro and electronic music.
