Peter Douglas can rightly be called one of the world’s best impersonators.
Ever since he won the Soundmix Show in 1987 with his Frank Sinatra impersonation, he has been a highly sought-after singer, both in the Netherlands and far beyond.
Peter Douglas has now been making a name for himself for over 40 years and remains passionate about his craft. The master crooner has released several albums, and his global hits “Stars On Frankie” and “Thank You Frank” will still ring a bell for many. Even those close to Sinatra have noticed the vocal resemblance: after Peter’s performance during the 1996 New York Marathon, he was invited to perform in New York on the occasion of his idol’s
81st birthday.
Sinatra literally took Peter around the globe and to every corner in between. As a result, Belgium and Germany, too, fell under the spell of “The New Blue Eyes.” He performed on well-known TV shows hosted by Rudy Carell, Harald Juhnke, and Karl Dall, among others, and played alongside the famous orchestras of Hugo Strasser and Klaus Hallen. He also recorded various radio and TV commercials for brands such as Heineken and Lotto.
His impressive career has made Peter Douglas what he is today: a top-notch entertainer with a wealth of experience, an impeccable sense of style, and a powerhouse of a voice!
The crooner proves he’s far from done by participating in the 2024 SBS6 TV show “The Tribute Battle Of The Bands.” On this popular show, Peter took fourth place, earning him a spot in the lineup at the Ziggo Dome for “The Tribute Live in Concert”—with no fewer than four sold-out shows!
In addition, on August 14, 2024, he performed with the BOSCO Jazz & Pop Orchestra at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam with his own completely sold-out show—a dream come true.
With this show, he is literally following in the footsteps of Frank Sinatra himself, who gave his first Dutch show there in 1975. On October 10, Peter Douglas kicks off his “MY WAY: 40 Years of SINATRA” anniversary tour.
