In my own songs, I always try to bring in something that everyone can relate to. In "New Way of Living," for example, I sing about a better place.... a new way of living. In "Movin' On" it's about picking up your life again after someone has hurt you a lot. There's a whole other side too! Like "Stay Away From That Whiskey" is humorous again.
My name is Damiën van Elburg, 21 years old and a
singer-songwriter. Born and raised in Limburg, but a music heart from Nashville. Biggest influence? Johnny Cash! The man who made me start making music and why Grandpa became my best friend. Since then I've been playing songs by Johnny Cash, John Prine, Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson and of course my own work with grandpa every night!
In October 2020, I released my first EP. We sent that one out the same month to the Limburg Top 10 (L1MBO) and "Stay Away From That Whiskey" stayed at number 1 for 2 months then, it also came to number 1 in the Limburg Top 2021. In January 2022 I released a new single called "Movin' On". This also reached number 1 in the Limburg Top 10 (L1MBO)
july 4, 2021 I was the support act of Waylon at Landgraaf Live.
july 9, 2021 I had my first theater show ever. This was in the Parkstad Limburg Theater. The show was sold out except for 2 spots.
january 28, 2022 we released "Movin' On". This song was often played nationwide and also in Limburg it had success. This also came at number 1 in the LIMBO Top 10.
15 June 2022 I was allowed to help opening the evening during the Rendez-vous of FSI in the Rabozaal in PLT Heerlen, where later André Rieu came
17 June 2022 I got to play at Pinkpop.
17 July 2022 at Park City Live.

Wow Damien, this was exactly what I was hoping for when I booked you. A cozy living room performance with your own songs, with Johnny Cash covers and more. Besides playing very well you can also sing incredibly well and your voice is very similar to Johnny Cash. You make a pleasant entrance, talk things up very nicely and also interact with your audience. I will never forget my party! Greetings Hein

Damien played at the Route 50 Rootsnight Even without his fantastic band, he managed to captivate 150 people. The big applause afterwards was fully deserved. His encore 'scars in your heart' caused goosebumps. Before and after the performance he mingles with the audience and proves to be a pleasant guest at your party. Later in the evening he took care of the vocals and guitar during Folsom Prison Blues when he played along with Chieff Bellstar. His bass voice made you think of the real Cash. Damien is making good progress and is a mature act despite his young age.
