The enthusiastic duo of jazz saxophonist Ad Colen and tango pianist Margreet Markering provide a sparkling jazz performance. These talented professional musicians bring the music to life and know how to give every occasion a special atmosphere.

Jazz saxophonist and composer Ad Colen and tango pianist and composer Margreet Markerink have started a new collaboration. The thread running through their musical journey is the works of Astor Piazzolla, whose compositions have fascinated them both. Colen and Markerink add their own improvisations, compositions and musical colors to these lively pieces. This promising new collaboration between leading tango and jazz musicians will undoubtedly lead to beautiful live performances.

Ad Colen, is a Dutch jazz saxophonist, composer and bandleader. Colen played guitar among other things, but eventually chose the saxophone. He studied at the conservatory in Hilversum and studied in New York City with Dick Oatts

After her classical studies at the conservatory Margreet Margerink specialized in composing, arranging and performing Argentinean Tango music under the supervision of the well known pianist/composer Gustavo Beytelmann and bandoneonist/pianist Carel Kraayenhof at the Rotterdam Conservatory. She has studied and played many styles of music, including Bach, Chopin, Bartok and Ravel, as well as more modern music. All this music has inspired her in the compositions she has written. The Argentinian tango music has become her biggest inspiration.
