Sick Sabbath is the longest existing Black Sabbath Tribute of the Benelux. Sick Sabbath brings the music and the show of Black Sabbath with conviction, but also with the occasional self-mockery. Through a combination of the unique sound of Sabbath, the act and performance of our band with our (H)ozzy and the accompanying show with light, smoke and if desired pyro, a performance becomes 1 big party. This experience is highly appreciated by our visitors, everyone experiences it as fun, exciting and unique and they leave the venue satisfied. Sick Sabbath is a Black Sabbath Tribute band. Our passion is not only to play the music of our examples, but also to provide a show where the audience can have a great time. The band was formed in 2014 by the coming together of a singer from melodic rock-metal (Michael Hos) , a seasoned bass player (Wim Brunt), lumbering drummer (Rob Zwiers) and an old rocker on guitar ( Piet Groenewoud).
Sick Sabbath has spent a lot of time rehearsing and getting the sound and act of Black Sabbath right. Since then they have played many clubs, venues and festivals.
Sick Sabbath is above all a live band. But we do have a large number of live played songs on Spotify! Sick Sabbath is an act that, thanks to their enthusiasm and energy, will not soon be forgotten.
During a Sick Sabbath show you can, next to the famous Black Sabbath songs, also enjoy the act of the band: frontman (H)ozzy provides, next to the recognizable vocals, a lot of fun and nonsense on stage and likes to take the audience with him. Sometimes you can't tell him apart from the real Ozzy. The splashing riffs of the guitar and the solid wall of accompanying sound of the bass and the drums make it a total experience. Despite the fact that Sabbath music cannot be called danceable, the audience usually goes wild.
Classics such as Iron Man, War Pigs, Black Sabbath, Children of the Grave (did someone say Paranoid?) are of course part of the set list. But what about forgotten gems like N.I.B., Fairies Wear Boots, The Wizard, Hand of Doom and Never Say Die? They all pass by and how! Sick Sabbath's own Hozzy is a special appearance that you won't forget easily. Trips to Dio will probably not be missed!
