DUCAs is a solo act by Alexandros Kyrkos, formed during the Corona lockdowns. Electro music with influences of Ambient, Ethnic, Rock and Synthpop.

Music that can serve perfectly well as the background of a reception, which can be listened to but also danced to. The music ranges from laid back ambient to danceable grooves, can clearly be called ELECTRO, but crosses subgenres. Sometimes a source from the past is used as a starting point, such as medieval and ancient Greek tunes. The tracks are almost entirely instrumental, the sparse vocals often performed with vocoders. Synthesizers and groove-boxes/drum machines form the basis of the instrumentation. Strings can almost always be heard, the occasional long-necked lute but mostly electric guitars, backed by samplers/loopers.

The first year has been spent in releasing music on streaming platforms. 12 singles were rolled out in the period of fall 2021-autumn 2022. During this time, there have been several webcasts on various platforms.

In 2023, I am focusing on live gigs. The kickoff took place at the end of March, during the Prins Friso Ingenieur Prize. There I performed three of my tracks live with accompanying visuals. The presence of Princess Beatrix gave a stately tone to the performance.
