Street/music-theatre show based on folk music, folk dance and juggling. Different folk instruments like accordion, whistle and bodhran are accompanied by shaker balls (juggling balls that make a sound and play a rhythm while juggling).
Ballore is a unique duo that gives visual concerts on accordion and a variety of self-made instruments that are played while juggling. The music is based on 'balfolk'; a modern folk style to dance to, but also just watching and listening to this act is more than worthwhile. The virtuosity with which both artists fulfill their function within the duo is extremely interesting to witness. The dexterity of Erik de Jong on accordion (and other instruments) and the super tight coordination of Guido van Hout make the music a feast for the ears as well as the eyes. Elements of dance, music, theatre and circus are merged in a unique way.
