Baragan grew out of the journeys Jense Meek took with his accordion as his traveling companion—road trips with no destination, full of adventure, carried along by the wind. Inspired by life as a street musician and her chance encounters, Baragan’s music took shape.
After performing in Germany, Belgium, France, Spain, and Morocco, they finally found the peace and quiet to refine their songs in a tranquil country house on a winery in Sicily. They take you along on this journey—toward the sun, along narrow paths, through small squares, and along coastal roads…
Baragan can also be booked as a band, trio, or solo act. We perform unamplified or amplified for up to 240 minutes; rates available upon request.

– For performances requiring full attention (e.g., a wedding ceremony or an interlude during a conference), acoustic performances are sometimes possible. In that case, there are no technical costs.
– For performances with background noise, we can provide the necessary equipment ourselves; an external sound crew is then not required.

The amazing guys from Bomba Naranja (including a drummer) were at our wedding to liven up the evening with their music. And they certainly did!!! They started playing while we were still enjoying our Italian-style dinner, and their music was the perfect complement to the meal. On July 15, my partner and I hosted a small wedding party in my in-laws' garden. We were looking for accessible, upbeat music, a bit in the style of Room Eleven. Well, we succeeded! BombaNaranja both walked around the long tables and later played on a small square (the dance floor). We hired these guys to provide evening music for a small, woodland wedding (approx. 40 guests) and, oh boy, they delivered the party. The music was exactly what we wanted - stomping (in the right way), clapping, joyous - but they also gauged and managed the mood of the crowd really, really well, starting quiet and slow outside while everyone was still getting into the party mood after dinner, then upping the tempo and energy later on at exactly the right time. For our 25th wedding anniversary we were looking for music, different than usual. What appealed so much to us about Baragan was the story behind the music and the versatility of songs and playing just as different instruments as usual. Baragan played 180 min. at our garden party and everyone on the floor also got the large group of young people. Afterwards we got a lot of compliments on the band and the music and vocals, they fitted completely in the total picture of the evening. What heroes! We hired BombaNaranja for the opening of Eindhoven train station to make music together with travelers in the created musical (stations) living room. The duo knew how to play various instruments flawlessly and challenged visitors and travelers to jam along. They sang modern and classical hits in Dutch, English and even Spanish. The musical living room was filled with spectators who couldn't stand still throughout the entire programme. You just wanted to dance along and clap. Highly recommended!
