Freshwater' consists of the brothers Jelle and Sieb and comes from Amsterdam. Sweetwater makes acoustic folk: sensitive music with a hint of melancholy, in the Dutch language.
Life, love and the world around us are subjects of conversation in the poetic texts. The small and fragile acoustic songs of Zoetwater are invariably introduced with visual stories
The mostly two-part songs are inspired by a wide range of singer-songwriter, indie and folk music, from Bear's Den to Bon Iver, Damien Rice and Simon & Garfunkel, but in Dutch.
Occasionally the duo will be complemented with violin.
